Ilango Vetrivel, Managing Director

Mr. Ilango is a fourth generation industrialist and currently heads HRC’s operations. He founded HRC in the year 2005, thereby leading the group’s foray into the engineering consulting sector. Prior to founding HRC, Mr. Ilango was running one of the group’s spinning mills at Tuticorin, and within a short span, had changed the product mix and led the export drive into various European, Far-eastern and South-eastern markets. Mr. Ilango begun his carrier at the group’s processing plant, a new project conceived and implemented in the early nineties. He was intensively involved in the selection of process technology and engineering of the 850tpa yarn processing plant and the experience was instrumental in the group’s entry into the process plant engineering consultancy sector. Mr. Ilango is an engineering graduate from the Madras University.

Md. Hushain, Director Operations

Mr. Hushain is a piping and project management specialist having worked with large energy companies as an independent consultant. He is a co-founder and director of HRC and brings with him unparalleled project execution expertize and skills. Mr. Hushain holds a mechanical engineering degree from Madras University and has over 15 years of engineering management expertise in hydrocarbon projects.

MS Palanimuthu, Associate Director

Mr. Palani Muthu is a HRC Associate Director with over 16 years of extensive experience in engineering and project management of major refinery and pipeline projects. He is highly reputed in the Indian hydrocarbon industry, having worked on mid to large scale projects for a number of oil majors in India and the Middle-east. Palani is project sponsor/management representative for several of HRC’s on-going assignments. He is a natural leader and an excellent communicator with an uncanny ability to reduce complexities into simple concepts. Palani has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from REC Jaipur.

SS Venugopalan, Associate Director & HOD - Process & Piping

Mr. Venugopalan has over 25 years of rich experience in engineering of land-mark projects in the hydrocarbon sector in India and abroad. He currently heads the Process & piping engineering teams of HRC and also is head of engineering for several of HRC’s on-going assignments. He has established a name for providing highly energy efficient designs.

Subburaj, HOD - Mechanical & Piping

Mr. Subburaj is specialized in design of static & rotary equipment, process piping, and packaged equipment. He currently heads HRC’s Mechanical & Piping team. He has over 15 years of experience in engineering of refinery units, terminals and pipelines.

R Jagannathan, HOD - Civil & Structural

Mr. Jagannathan heads HRC’s civil & structural engineering groups and has over 32 years of experience in design and engineering of various industrial buildings, pipe-racks and water retaining structures. He has been involved in the design of several land-mark structures including the main compounding and palletizing building for Reliance’s mega polypropylene project at Jamnagar, a 6,000 MT structure housing the main extruder equipment. He is conversant with international codes & standards including AISC codes.

SV Venkatesan, HOD - Instrumentation

Mr. Venkatesan is a highly experienced instrumentation engineer with over 18 years of rich extensive experience in engineering of hydrocarbon projects. He heads HRC’s instrumentation group since 2006 and has anchored several terminal automation projects handled by the company.

Muralidharan, HOD - Electrical

Mr. Muralidharan is an experienced electrical engineer with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the design of electrical systems for hydrocarbon facilities. He is well-versed in various national and international codes including specifications for hazardous areas. Mr. Murali heads the HRC electrical engineering group since 2009.
